AWAKENING

Destiny is what unfolds for each of us every minute, every day.

Just as there are crossroads when we drive, so, too, there are choices we must make on the path that has been laid out for each of us. We can cooperate with that path and mae it a wonderful journey or we can resist the path and make our own way. Sometimes the path is frightening or painful, sometimes it is bizarre and difficult to fathom.

The ultimate purpose is not always revealed so quickly. The journey may take years.

Messengers

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

So, too, when the world wants to guide us, people are sent to lead the way. It is important to look, listen and be willing to be open to the messenger who will present themselves to us.

Hold the hands of someone frightened… Give a gift… Share empathy with a friend… Sit with someone who is ill… Celebrate another’s good fortune… Share pleasure and laughter… Create a special meal

My own path

As I review those years, I can now see beyond the heartache and loss and recognize the gifts I received. During that time I was given the spiritual powers of strength, courage and compassion, which I call grace. The dictionary describes grace as favor, elegance, power, brilliance, joy, regeneration, blessing.

Trust and Timing

My losses, gift and lessons happened for a reason- they were messages and lessons for me to hear and understand.

We wait for life to keep unfolding. We try to understand its meaning, year by year, experience by experience. We may control our actions, speed up our movements, resist schedules, but in truth life will unfold at its own pace.

On a daily basis I am deeply grateful that I have God as my partner and I welcome you to join me as we celebrate and dance with destiny.

Dancing Lessons: The basics

Every dance is unique: there are as many different variations as there are people.

We move through space and time… We perform in a particular rhythm… we strive to achieve a particular look… We express a feeling or tall a story.

Spiritual Truths

1. There is a force that guides us, protects us and introduces us to our path and each other.

2. Gos answers prayers by sending people known as messenger or angels.

3. Transformation does not happen all at once, it occurs little by little.

4. Discernment is the spiritual gift that propels us to follow our path.

5. Losses can become lessons.

6. Turning points are spiritual interruptions in our state of well-being that tell us destiny is taking us to another place.

7. We can be guided through storytelling.

8. Inner spiritual peace does not come from being spared pain and suffering.

One step at a time

The more we know and trust the dance, the easier it becomes to cooperate with the universe and fulfill our destiny. Dancing becomes a pleasure, something we want to share with and teach to others.

When roadblocks are put on my path. I am sometimes forced to find another way. Sometimes they are merely obstacles. Today, as I look back, I can see they were helping the journey go just the way it needed to go. I arrived at my intended destination in spite of myself.

Our destiny unfolds from the inside out, like a flower. Just as each bloom is unique example of perfect color and design created by the universe, so are we.

How good are you in math??? Can you exactly add, multiply, divide and subtract your blessings.

Many of us tend to forget how blessed we are until someone would remind us. Admit it, we seldom take time to count our blessings and thank God for it. Most often, we spend our time counting our misfortunes and even blame him for it.

I think that it’s just right to stop for a while and take sometime to think our abundant blessings and thank him for it. It’s never to late after all!!!

FIND A QUIET MOMENT TODAY AND THINK OF ALL YOUR BLESSINGS. YOU WILL REALIZE THAT GOOD DAYS ALWAYS OUTNUMBER THE BAD ONES.

I met this guy for a reason…For days of searching for a person I could swap my oath taking ticket he appeared unexpectedly.

I’ve been trying to contact some friends out of desperation for a ticket swap. I’ve got this morning session ticket and wanted to swap for an afternoon ticket for I got work early morning. I actually made a deal with a friend of mine when she changed her mind the last minute.

I was to give up and was already convinced to attend this morning session when a friend sent a message asking asking if we could meet. We met and I was able to share my ticket problem with her. She suggested and offered herself to accompany me at the Philippine nurses association office and try our luck if indeed we can swap the ticket. When we were there, sad to hear from the officer in charge that they do not allow ticket swap. The least we can do is to find someone who would be willing to swap his/her own ticket. We sat for a while and waited for a bit. We were able to talk to some of the guys there but we were turned down. We were about to give up when this guy appeared, out of shame I approached him and suggested a ticket swap. Happy to hear, he said “Yes.” After that, we went our separate ways.

After months, a friend of mine was telling stories about a certain guy. I was so curious and asked my friend if she could show me a picture. I was shocked upon seeing the photo. All along, the guy she was referring to was the same person I met for a ticket swap. Via the internet my friend introduced us then the wonderful friendship blossom. We share our own thoughts and aspirations in life. We are still in constant communication with each other. Nothing special going on but a wonderful friendship bound to happen. Indeed, things happens for a certain reason.

It’s amazing that two strangers can turned out to be best of friends and it happens for a reason.

Boredom… is defined as weariness caused by dull, tiresome people or events.

Many people associate boredom with many things… dullness… tiredness… hopelessness… worthlessness… loneliness… sadness…etc. which in the long run leads to depression.

Do you actually know what boredom really means? Have you been in this situation? How sensitive and observant are you towards your family, friends and others feelings and emotions? Have you ever tried to put yourself on that persons shoes? Have you even consider what that person is feeling and suffering? Have you considered that boredom kills…it does.

Boredom is like a disease that can slowly tear you into pieces.  It’s something that can spread and kills.

Wheee!!! Here she comes… One of my closest friend is heading for Japan this week. She’ll be conquering the samurai land. Go go girl. I’ll really super miss her.

I met her back in high school days. Just “Hi” and “Hello”. We really didn’t expect that a wonderful friendship awaits us. After few years of no communication we met again for a special reason…then our extraordinary friendship blossom into a super extra ordinary one.

I would super miss the times when we would hang out and bond. When we got no penny to spend yet find time to meet and enjoy with just an ice cream at hand. When we laugh at each others jokes and cry over ones sorrow. When we share our top secrets and pains.

I would super miss her hug and kisses. She’s a super sweet and loving friend. She brightens up my days when I’m down and bring out the better me. I like the way she is now… funny and out going…stronger and ready for new adventures.

Sis, a big big big thank you for the wonderful friendship. I thank God almighty for blessing me with a friend so lovely. We may go separate ways but we both know that no distance can ever separate us from each other. We may meet new people but always remember that you’ve got a super special place in my heart. I know that a good future awaits you. Whatever blessings you have now is just right… you deserve it. Trials and challenges may come your way but I know you can stand them. Just keep your faith in him and lift all up to him. In times of confusion, ask him to lead the way. We might not be there with you physically but always remember that you are in our prayers. God indeed is amazing. Put your full trust in him.

BEST WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOU: Amazing: You are amazing in everyway. You are extremely attractive, intellegent, sincere, kind, etc. etc. etc. The only word that can even come close to describing you in all your glory is simply AMAZING!

November, the waiting begun.

December 24, Was sleeping… my father arrived… his phone rang… the bad news came… move out of bed… everyone was shocked.

March 11, everyone in tears…granny passed away.

Life is really unpredictable as they say. Everything can just turn up side down in a glimpse. Your plans get shuttered and you begin to question why? For the past months, life was quit different and difficult for me. Unexpected things happened. A loss after the other and long time of waiting.  At one point, you can’t just take it no more and you get tired you want to scream and give up.

How painful is it to wake up knowing that a loved one unexpectedly passed away and hear other peoples bad speculations about his death. How frightening is it to experience things beyond your  imagination and how difficult it is to cope. Some people who just lean to their own understanding and insensitive of  others feelings would not understand.

2 months after…

So devastating to hear that a person so close to you and dearly loved passed away in just a snap. How you wish she was still with you. How you wish the clock stops to tic. Many wishes…

For 5 months…

Can’t sleep… Waking in the middle of the night because of memories just flashing. Trying to be strong and composed.

It’s painful…Yes…Surely it is. Yet, life is so wonderful. Healing and coping is a process…

Well,  many trials and challenges might come our way to test us. We may stumble and fall. We give up and put all the blame to him. We question many things. YET… These things make us better and stronger individuals. He still picks us up and stand firm behind us. He accepts all the blame and answer our questions. Still God cannot give us trials beyond our strength and anything beyond our control.

I truly believe that in times like these…we should strengthen more our faith in him. Lets lift it all up to him and let him lead the way. He is an awesome God and he will always be.

While others are ashamed of who and where they came from… I’LL always be proud to be a Cordilleran at heart…an Igorota. I actually pity those persons who have to lie and pretend to be somebody. It’s very unfortunate to have this individuals who cannot be themselves. Igorots are labeled to be a low class in the society (like Indians of USA), to have tails,etc. It’s very sad to know that some Filipinos don’t actually know each other.We study history yet we tend to be Ignorant.If asked to describe Igorots, I would say that they are the simplest but most elegant and hard working people I’ve been with. Some people actually say that they belong to the poorest of the poor, but  I tell you people… your definitely wrong. Igorot’s like others eat three times a day, has concrete houses and are educated. Each of us have their own reasons why it have to be that way… that reason may be good or bad…but at the end of the day…the question would always remain…Why???
